What is available and how do I get it?

Every Legacy program delivers products in addition to the raw data obtainable via Leopard. Exactly what they deliver varies from project to project. The data are all available from here, and via IRSA as well. Click on the "data deliveries" link for more information from each project about what is available, when it is (or will be) available, and how to get it.

Please note that when a Legacy team delivers enhanced data products to IRSA, the data (as delivered) are made available immediately, but the data must go through a quality assurance (QA) and ingestion process before being available through IRSA search engines. This process does not happen instantaneously. (More information about IRSA services, the QA process, etc.) The status of each delivery is noted in the "data deliveries" page for each project. If you want to access validated data, then use the IRSA search form. If you want to access more recent deliveries which have not NOT YET PASSED the QA process (and thus they may very well contain errors), then use the direct data access link.

The primary IRSA search engine used for Legacy deliveries is a service called Atlas, for images, catalogs and spectra. If the catalogs are large (over 10,000 rows) then they are also accessible via the service called Gator.
