Data Archive

In order to access the archive, you need to download and install Leopard, which is part of the 'Spitzer Pride' package.

• Most people use Leopard to interact with the archive: User's guide and software download pages. Leopard will manage the download for you, e.g. picking up midway through an interrupted download. Leopard and Spot are packaged together in software called 'Spitzer Pride.'

• There is a web interface to the archive.

• First Look Survey, Legacy, and Early Release Observation data are also staged to the Popular Products site. It can be much faster to get the public data from the website than having to query it out of the archive yourself, especially if you want just a few AORs.

NB: we have database blocktime every Tuesday from 6 to 9 AM Pacific time. You may not be able to retrieve data or view programs during this time.

We welcome observer generated comments that an archival user might find useful when looking at the data. These will ultimately be included with the comments provided by the Spitzer Data Quality Analysis team and made available with the AORs. Please email the helpdesk with your suggestions.
