IR Compendium:Cha HA 1 |
Cha H Alpha 1 was the first brown dwarf detected in the X-ray (detected with ROSAT). Its status as a brown dwarf has been confirmed by both near IR colors and spectroscopy. This is the only confirmed brown dwarf observed with ISO, and it is tentatively identified as IRAS point source 11058-7721.

This SED was created using the sensitivity and saturation values available in November 2004. The black dots are the flux values from the above table. The green and red lines are the respective sensitivity and saturation limits for each instrument. The sensitivity values used are for a 5 sigma detection of a point source with a 500 second exposure. |
