Basic Information

This object was part of a sample of normal galaxies studied with ISO to characterize the ISM and global star formation processes. Imaging with ISOCAM at 6.7 and 14.3 microns characterizes the properties of the hot dust within the galaxy. The spectroscopy with ISO-LWS yields information about the warm neutral phase of the ISM (through measurements of [CII] at 158 microns and [OI] at 63 microns) as well as the HII regions (through measurements of [OIII] at 52 and 88 microns, [NIII] at 57 microns and [NII] at 122 microns). This object is also part of the Spitzer Nearby Galaxy Survey (SINGS) Legacy Program

Spectral Energy Distributions

This SED was created using the sensitivity and saturation values available in November 2004 . The black dots are the object surface brightness calculated by assuming the fluxes listed above are uniformly distributed throughout the beam sizes quoted in the reference papers. The green and red lines are the respective sensitivity and saturation limits for each instrument. The sensitivity values used are for a 5 sigma detection of an extended source with a 500 second exposure.
