9.5 MIPS Scan Map

MIPS' photometric bands are at $ 24$, $ 70$, and $ 160 \; \mu {\rm m}$. It has diffraction-limited imaging capability, with noise performance that may be limited by natural sources, e.g., zodiacal dust at $ 24$ & $ 70 \; \mu {\rm m}$, and confusion with distant galaxies at $ 160 \; \mu {\rm m}$. In the case of the ONC, the nebula itself is going to be brighter than the zodiacal dust or distant galaxies! We are going to have to be careful about background estimates. We will then select a mapping mode and fill out the AOT for this observation.
