The National Optical Astronomy
Observatory (NOAO) provided four nights of
Director's Discretionary time for an R-band survey with the MOSAIC camera
on the Kitt Peak 4m telescope.
The data were obtained in May 2000.
We measure a 5-sigma sensitivity in a 2 arcsecond
aperture of R=25.5. Approximately 30 pointings with MOSAIC were obtained
covering the entire extragalactic First Look Survey region. The
MOSAIC pointings are covering the main survey field centered at
1718+5930 and outlined in
figure 1. In addition, pointings
in the ELAIS N1 field were also obtained as this was originally planned
to be part of the extragalactic FLS. This region is now part of the
SWIRE Legacy program.
The pointings obtained are outlined in
figure 2.

Images and catalogs can be retrieved
from the Spitzer Science Center and will soon also be available from the
NOAO Science Archive.
