Hi everyone -

SIRTF Planning Observations Tool (SPOT) V7.0 has been
released. There is also an updated SPOT User's Guide
to go with it.  These items can be downloaded or
accessed from the Proposal Kit area on the SSC
website. http://sirtf.caltech.edu/SSC/propkit/

The automatic update feature will work to go from
version 6.3 to this version.

Some of the new features in this release are:

      + The sequence constraint now includes a time
        duration in which the sequence must be
        completed.

      + We have added 'tabs' to the main AOR screen to
        allow easier management of the AOR list and
        images.

      + Timing constraints on a single AOR that
        overlap each other are not allowed.

      + Programs for viewing may be selected by
        program ID as well as name.

In addition to the items associated with the SPOT 7
release, several interesting pages in the SSC
hierarchy have been recently created or updated,
including the following:

      + New PCRS catalog notes and the catalog itself.
      + Updated information on Galactic FLS and Ecliptic
        FLS -- several targets had to be updated
        for an April (rather than January) launch.
      + An updated document on how scheduling is
        anticipated to work.
      + A new document on Constraint Definitions, Hints,
        and Tips.
      + A new collection of SPOT hints, tips, and tricks.
      + A new data table with field-of-view rotation
        as a function of ecliptic latitude.
      + A new form for collecting cover sheet
        information for DDT applications.
      + An updated blackout schedule.
      + A list of approved DDT abstracts.
