From help@spitzer.caltech.edu Tue Nov 23 16:09:39 2004 Date: Tue, 23 Nov 2004 15:50:39 -0800 (PST) Subject: SIRTF: Updates for Cycle 2 Spitzer Proposals Hi folks - A new version of Spitzer Pride (Spot and Leopard) and its associated documentation is now available for your use. Thanks for your patience as we deployed this major update to our databases and community services. This is the version you should use for your GO-2 proposals. Please enable 'Use Automatic Leopard Version Update' under the `Options' pulldown menu to obtain the latest version. Updating Spot will automatically update Leopard, and vice versa. It will take about 30 seconds for Spot or Leopard to "notice" that there is a new version. If your system does not appear to be auto-updating, or you need to install the software in the first place, do a clean install with the downloads available here: http://ssc.spitzer.caltech.edu/propkit/spot/ A new MIPS Data Handbook is also available: http://ssc.spitzer.caltech.edu/mips/dh/ Please note in particular the new section on conversion factors (instrumental units to MJy/sr). This section is also available here: http://ssc.spitzer.caltech.edu/mips/calib/conversion.html We are anticipating to be able to release over the next week or so new versions of the following resources: + Performance Estimator Tool (PET), including PUI and SED options. + Infrared Compendium As soon as possible, we will release the new version of the Observation Planning Cookbook, including new PUI and SED chapters. We will NOT send out more mail to this mailing list when these new versions are posted; please watch the web for updates. All major updates are logged here: http://ssc.spitzer.caltech.edu/news/ Good luck on your Cycle-2 proposals! cheers, Spitzer Observer Support
