From help@spitzer.caltech.edu Wed Feb 9 17:24:27 2005 Subject: SIRTF: Spot Auto-Update Dear Spitzer observers, Your Spot is about to auto-update (if it hasn't already) -- save your work before letting it auto-update! Here's why we had to release a patch today, just a few days before the deadline: Version 11 of Spot should allow proposers to submit proposal justification files of up to 10MB but a bug prevents Spot from submitting files greater than 2MB in size (the old limit). We have patched the java code for this bug and released it. The next time you start up Spot it will ask you if you want to auto-update your Spot. We recommend you do this update ASAP if your PDF file is expected to be greater than 2MB. Be sure to save your work before exiting Spot or have it update the next time you start up Spot, and restart Spot before you submit your proposal. Apologies for the inconvenience, and apologies if you get multiple copies of this message. cheers, Spitzer Science Center Observer Support
