November Spitzer Science conference REMINDER: The deadline for early registration *and* hotel reservations for the November Spitzer conference "Infrared Diagnostics of Galaxy Evolution" is ***October 13***. UPDATE: We received a great response to the call for abstracts for contributed talks, but were highly oversubscribed and were not able to accommodate all of them. Speakers selected for contributed talks have been notified. The program will be on the web in a few days. Spitzer Fellowship Application deadline 1 Nov 2005 To apply for a 2006 Spitzer Postdoctoral Fellowship, please obtain the application materials from http://ssc.spitzer.caltech.edu/geninfo/fellows/ ... the deadline is 1 Nov 2005. 3. CP-3 will be released the first week of November CP-3 will be released on or about **November 1**. The proposal due date is Thursday, February 16, 2006, 1pm PST. Spitzer at the AAS, part 1 Look for Spitzer in the exhibit hall at the 207th AAS Meeting in Washington, DC, January 8-12, 2006. SSC scientists will be at the booth offering demonstrations of Spitzer IRAC, MIPS, and IRS data analysis and hands-on help with any data analysis questions. We will also be demonstrating observation planning for Cycle 3, including the new IRAC Stellar Mode. Here's your opportunity to consult throughout that week with SSC scientists on best practices for getting results from your observations, and/or planning your next observations! 5. Spitzer at the AAS, part 2 There will be a special session at the January 2006 AAS on results based in whole or in part on Spitzer Legacy science data. Contributions from the general community are welcome, and eagerly anticipated, for the poster session - eligible results are those on any topic that utilizes data from the Legacy programs.
