Subject: New versions of Spot and Leopard


Spot v14 and Leopard v5 are now available. Users should ensure
that Options -> Auto-Update is selected in Spot/Leopard to
obtain an automatic update of the software.  Both Spot and
Leopard have several new features.

Please Note: The Windows installer does work but you may see
some errors if you don't have Java 1.5 pre-installed.

The Solaris auto-update may take some time because it is going
to download and install the new Java version 1.5. If you cancel
the installation before it is complete, you will have to install
Spitzer Pride from scratch by downloading the S14 software.

This release of Spitzer Pride runs only under
Java 1.5.  For all platforms, except for Mac OSX, the correct
version of Java comes with the installation or auto-update.
For Mac users, you must first upgrade to Tiger (OSX 10.4) and
obtain Java 1.5 either through a Software Update or directly
from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/java2se50release1.html.

Spot v14 is the software to use to modify approved Spitzer
Cycle 3 programs.
