Spitzer Science Center at the IAU General Assembly in Prague The Spitzer Science Center (SSC) will be exhibiting at the IAU General Assembly in Prague, Czech Republic, August 15-24. SSC scientists will be present at the exhibit throughout, so please stop by and visit! In addition, Joint Discussion 15 there will feature "New Cosmology Results from the Spitzer Space Telescope," August 22-23. 2. Workshop Presentations and Summaries -- Making the Most of the Great Observatories Sponsored by NASA's three active Great Observatories, approximately 90 participants gathered for a workshop in Pasadena May 22-24, 2006. The goal of the workshop was to focus the astronomical community's attention on the scientific priorities for NASA's Great Observatories over the next few years, emphasizing both joint/multi- mission scientific programs, and programs that lay foundations for the future. Materials handed out at the workshop, the review talks, panel presentations, discussion session notes, a science summary and an article about the Workshop written for the STScI newsletter are now available from the workshop website ( http://ssc.spitzer.caltech.edu/mtgs/greatobs/ ). 3. August Data Analysis Workshop registration The fourth Data Analysis Workshop is taking place at the SSC in Pasadena on August 28-September 1. This free 5-day tutorial-style workshop is intended for Guest Observers (GO) or Archival Researchers (AR) from Cycles 1, 2, and 3 who wish to learn more about analyzing their Spitzer data with the various tools supported by the SSC. Workshop participants may attend some or all of the days, depending on their interests. Registration closes on August 7 and is limited to 25 participants, but there are still a few spaces left.
