Subject: New versions of Spot and Leopard

Spot v15 and Leopard v6 are now available. Users should ensure
that Options -> Auto-Update is selected in Spot/Leopard to
obtain an automatic update of the software.  Both Spot and
Leopard have several new features.

Please note: This is the version of Spot to use to submit Spitzer
Cycle-4 proposals.

This release of Spitzer Pride runs only under Java 1.5.  For all
platforms, except for Mac OSX, the correct version of Java comes
with the installation or auto-update.   For Mac users, you must have
first upgraded to Tiger (OSX 10.4) and obtained Java 1.5, either
through a Software Update or directly from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/java2se50release3.html.

NOTE: Please be advised that the California Institute of Technology
(Caltech) will be closed from Monday, 2006 December 25, through
Monday, 2007 January 1.  For this reason, replies to inquiries to the
Helpdesk will be delayed until after that period.  Activation by the
SSC as a response to triggering requests for, particularly, high-impact
Targets of Opportunity will also most likely be delayed.
