Recent release of Legacy Program Enhanced Data Products 1. Spitzer at COSPAR this summer --------------------------------------------------------- Spitzer is featured in a half-day session as part of "Scientific Event E16 - Advances in Far-Infrared and Sub-mm Astrophysics from Space" at the 37th Scientific Assembly of the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR), to be held in Montreal, Canada, 2008 July 13 -- 20. We encourage all Spitzer users to submit an abstract! The deadline for abstract submission is 2008 February 17, 23:59 CET. More information on the scientific program and abstract submission may be found at: http://www.cospar-assembly.org/ We look forward to seeing you in Montreal! 2. Recent release of Legacy Program Enhanced Data Products ---------------------------------------------------------- We have recently made available Enhanced Data Products for a number of Spitzer Legacy Programs, including the MIPSGAL, Taurus-2, GOALS, SAGE, and GLIMPSE3D programs. All the recent Legacy team deliveries are available from the Spitzer Popular Products website, http://data.spitzer.caltech.edu/popular/. Additionally, all data available from the Legacy teams can be accessed now through Leopard, by performing a Popular Products Query under the Query menu or by clicking on the Popular Products icon along the menu bar. Mosaics at 24 microns of the 1st and 4th quadrant fields observed by the MIPSGAL program (10d < l < 65d and 295d < l < 350d; |b| < 1d) are now available from the Spitzer Popular Products website, and IRSA, http://irsa.ipac.caltech.edu. The mosaics feature enhanced bright source artifact mitigation and saturated source flagging. For more details about MIPSGAL, please see http://mipsgal.ipac.caltech.edu. Catalog and mosaics observed in the four IRAC bands and in the three MIPS bands by the Taurus-2 program are also available. The source list includes band-merged photometry from 2MASS, IRAC, and MIPS observations. For more information about the Taurus-2 program visit: http://spider.ipac.caltech.edu/staff/dlp/taurus/. The first data delivery from the GOALS program is now available. This delivery includes IRAC and MIPS images, along with low and high resolution IRS spectra of 50 Luminous Infrared Galaxies (LIRGS) from the sample. The next delivery from the GOALS team is expected to occur in Summer 2008. For more details about GOALS, please see http://goals.ipac.caltech.edu/. The recent delivery from the SAGE program includes mosaics in the three MIPS bands, 2MASS-IRAC band-merged catalogs, and MIPS catalogs. More information about the SAGE program can be found at http://sage.stsci.edu. We have recently posted a new delivery from the GLIMPSE3D program, that includes IRAC mosaics and 2MASS-IRAC band-merged catalogs of 7 areas centered at: l=335d, b=+2d; l=341.5d, b=-2d; l=341.5d, b=+2d; l=345d, b=-2d; l=345d, b=+2d; l=350d, b=-2d, and l=350d, b=+2d. See http://www.astro.wisc.edu/sirtf/ for more details about the GLIMPSE3D program. Spitzer Science User Support
