Transportation Between Area Airports and Pasadena

There are several ways you can reach Pasadena from area airports (LAX, Burbank, Ontario).

  • There are several car rental agencies at each airport; here are driving directions.
  • Taxis exist at all airports, but are expensive.
  • Airport shuttle buses (vans) are cheaper - around $25 - $35 one-way. Shuttle buses such as Super Shuttle, Prime Time Shuttle and E-Z Shuttle have designated pickup areas at airports (at LAX it is the BLUE van stops). They will take you straight to the door of the hotel. Usually the shuttle will carry as many passengers as possible (usually 6-9 people), so it may take some time to get to your destination. Usually there is a coordinator at the blue van stops, with clipboard and radio. Tell them you need a shuttle to Pasadena. They will radio for one to stop or let you know that one is on the way. The shuttles will usually loop around the LAX horseshoe two or three times, looking for more customers, before leaving for their destinations. Some shuttles take credit cards - check with the driver before leaving the airport.
